Splendid baroque castle for sale

The castle, designed by Hefele Menyhért and commissioned by Szentgyörgyi Horváth Zsigmond, was built in late baroque style around 1790.The one-storey building was transformed in eclectic style at the end of the 19th century. Betweeen 1905 and 1945  it was the summer residence of the bishop of Szombathely. Until 1989,  it housed the sports school of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) and was a resort at the same time. At present it  is in private ownership.

The castle is surrounded by a park full of rare plants, mammoth pines and old trees.

There are several small size buildings on the estate.
